Hi, I'm Nick.

As an independent software architect and consultant I help organisations shape their technical landscape: designing scalable architectures, modernising legacy systems, guiding teams, and making sharp technology choices. I have worked in software since 2013 and independently since May 2023, from Neede in Gelderland, the Netherlands.

I deliberately keep building, too. It is that combination of strategy and hands-on development — architecture that holds up in production, not just on paper — that makes my advice concrete and actionable. I am also a partner in two software companies: IDunn (idunn.nu), around innovation insight and benchmarking, and Cito-diagnostics (lab-in.app), around point-of-care diagnostics and home testing.
