IDunn is one of the partner companies I'm part of; the platform is live at idunn.nu. The platform translates a scientifically grounded approach — co-shaped by a partner with a university background — into an accessible digital service that lets organisations scan, compare and steer their innovation power.
Functionally the platform works with themes and accompanying questionnaires that produce a rich profile per organisation. Based on that profile we generate complex reports and concrete advisory reports, which in practice form the basis for improvement trajectories — sometimes picked up independently by the client, sometimes guided from IDunn.
At enterprise level we offer benchmarking: an organisation can compare itself against the broader market or a specific segment. Sounds simple, but under the hood it requires strict data modelling, anonymisation and careful aggregation of score data without leaking any individual client information.
My role is technical lead and architect. I set out the architecture, guard the coherence between the layers (Keycloak for identity, Symfony 7.1 with API Platform 3 for domain logic, a Go layer for rendering and mailing) and steer on quality and long-term maintainability. I also stay hands-on in the core components where architectural choices and code sit closest together.
Because IDunn as a product is still very much in motion, we put extra emphasis on testability and a clean separation between questionnaire structure, scoring algorithms and reporting. That allows scientific updates to the model to be rolled out without touching the entire application.
Working on a product you're a co-owner of has a different dynamic than client work. Decisions about tech, scope and pace bear directly on the viability of the company — which produces sharp, honest conversations and, when it works, a product that stays consistently in line with the team's vision.
